Art direction and illustrations for Memefest 2023, for CCCB Museum Barcelona.
New year, new edition from Memefest. Here we go again (insert gta meme)
The concept of this year’s image goes around our way to interact with reality. We get mesmerize with our phones, our express serotonin bust device. Nothing bad about it, just maybe, we can miss something is happening around us, an alien invasion, for example. Even more, maybe we are watching what is happening around us through our screen. This year, also has some White Lotus inspo.
Illustration for Hits with Tits.
Hit With Tits are fully committed to spreading and promoting women and the LGTBIQ+ community within the cultural milieu, focusing mainly on music and illustration.
Having that goal that connects music and illustration, with a DIY culture, Hits with Tits put it together in a music album. A vinyl album that reunites girl bands and girls illustrators. It fights the cliché "there is no woman in the scene", confirming again, there is so much talent and many women in the scene, but what we have is a lack of visibility.
Also, Hits with Tits, adding an extra to their way to deal with that lack of visibility, they created the festival Rayo&Trueno Fest. A music festival that every year has a successfully amount of audience, a rich line-up and activities.
Illustration for Kelefa Sanneh’s article for The New Yorker.
This article explains Olivia’s huge succes after releasing her album “SOUR”, which was the result of a dramatic breakup. Happy I could create her portrait, because besides the gossip, her album is amazing :)

WePresent asked me what I would like to be in another life, and this was my answer 👉🏻
“In another life, I would be a hacker in the 1990s fighting against evil by being both a computer wiz and a martial arts expert. I think that desire comes from my love of video games and anime. I love when the characters in Final Fantasy, Sailormoon and Persona 5 fight against evil not in a superhero way like in Marvel, but in a low profile, hiding-in-the-shadows kind of way. When I was a kid I was obsessed with watching movies like Hackers and anime series like Evanglion, where one of the characters, Ritsuko, saves the day by using her hacking skills to defeat a virus. Then, when not on my missions to fight against evil, I'd be running an animal sanctuary” .
Thanks so much Alia Wilhelm!
Cover illustration for Charas Vega’s book “Me lo han dicho los astros”, Penguin Books.
Charas Vega is the human being behind the popular account @Charcastrology, mixing astrology and humour. “The internet witch”, as she defines herself, just published her first book, “Me lo han dicho los astros”. Astrology, cinema references, young adults struggling with daily life… a novel anyone can feel related.
As a her friend, I couldn’t believe when Penguin Books called me to design her cover (just a magic coincidence). Thanks to Anna for being such a good team.

After the rough pandemic times, CCCB organized their succesful Memefest once more, and I was asked to do the image again, my pleasure :)
This year, the concept was “cult”. In a good way, in a way like memes saving us during rough times and they really connect people, more than we expect. A universal language. So, they exist and we adore them. Long live memes!

GIF for Prime Video, The Office campaign.
I was asked by Prime Video to create a gift from my fav scene from The Office. As a huge fan of the tv show, was really difficult to choose. I had in mind lots of great scenes: Dwight's wigs, Michael's gold ticket, etc. But I chose an epic and classic one: parkour moment.

The festival is represented by all kind or artists and if full of shows and concerts. I was asked to design the image from the whole IV festival edition.

Illustration for Gorogoro’s event.
Art direction and illustrations for Memefest 2019, for CCCB Museum Barcelona.
After the success of the first edition, the CCCB held the event again in 2019. I was asked to create the image for the 2019 edition of the festival as well (you can check the 2018 design here). The design follows the vibe from the previous one: it has to be funny, connect with the audience and be a bit sassy.
During the first edition I focused on popular memes, but this time I wanted to make a tribute to what's behind that: the anonymous people who create this content without expecting to be recognized for it. Real heroes, if you ask to me :) So the idea to create a heroes and heroines gang came to me. With their DIY costumes and tools. I always liked the Japanese sci-fi cosplays and poses, so I mixed it with the concept.
If you want to see more Memefest content, you can check in this link all the talks, debates and the famous "meme fight". It's funny and interesting, you're not gonna regret it!

Art direction and Illustrations for Festa Major de Granollers (proposal).
Albert P. Centeno and I wanted to create a tribute to Granollers' folklore, to remind us of our old traditions, but that also includes what makes this festival possible: the people. One of the key concepts for us was inclusivity, so our characters are very different by age, etnicity, handicap, gender, etc.
We mixed these characters with Granoller's bestiary folklore, creating a general view about how the festival reflects to us.
